Aims and Objectives of this Site:
- To generate awareness amongst the Bhutia community the significance of being a Bhutia and the increasing threat towards cultural dissolution in today’s age.
- To take effective steps towards the preservation and promotion of Bhutia language through its propagation.
- To inspire and encourage the younger generations in community involvement and all those who are interested to learn about the Bhutias.
- To assist and motivate each and every Sikkimese Bhutia to speak and converse in Bhutia language through the use of e- dictionary, Bhutia proverbs, phrases, audio and visual aids.
- To kindle to spirit of excellence which our forefathers strove for; by not letting them wither in the pages of History and remembering the extraordinary feat of some of the outstanding personalities of our community. Also to appreciate the efforts and contributions of our Bhutia Linguists towards its development and recognition of Lho kay as a distinct regional language.
- To present an overview of the History of Sikkim and of the Bhutias in Sikkim and also to appreciate the History of Bhutia Language in Sikkim.
- To take effective steps and help the Bhutia community prepare for the challenges of modern world through sustainable growth.
- To create a milieu where the wisdom and knowledge of the elders and the spirit and energy of the youth are amalgamated.
